UGUISU FALLS

In the mountains of Nara, near Kasuga Shrine, there are many paths to get lost in nature. One of them is that goes to the top of the Wakakusayama Mountain, what I talked about in a previous article. Following the same path, and a few meters before the top of the mountain, the road forks, and to the right a new path goes into the forest in a downward progression.

After half an hour walk approximately, we reach a new detour, this time to the left, a small path distances from the main path. It is leading to the Uguisu Waterfall, descending more steeply towards the increasingly strong sound of water. This bifurcation is also properly marked, but in Japanese. In the photograph on the left, in the arrow pointing to our left, is written Uguisu no taki 0.6 km.

Soon will sight from above the red bridge that precedes the waterfall, and few meters later, the waterfall. There is a small gazebo with benches. It's time to rest from the walk relaxing with the sound of falling water and enjoying the whole beautiful scenery hidden in the woods.
